I wish I could tell you every story of the people God has touched through each and every crusade, but it would be impossible as there are hundreds upon hundreds that were impacted.  This past year we witnessed over 4,000 people accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

We had an opportunity last March to go and do several days of school assemblies and crusades in the Philippines.  To say the least, it was an incredible experience.  Over seven days we were able to see over 2,500 Filipinos give their lives to Christ.  It will be an experience we will cherish forever.

At every Real Encounter crusade I stand on the stage giving an invitation to respond to the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.  We see whole families; adults of all walks of life, coaches, moms and dads, children and teenagers come to enter into a new relationship with Jesus.  

It is hard to totally comprehend how far God has brought this ministry in the last eleven years.  God can do anything He chooses to do and we are honored He chooses to use Real Encounter the way He does.

We want to personally thank each and every one of you for your prayers and gifts to Real Encounter this year. It has been a fantastic year and one we always treasure.  We are convinced if it were not for people like you we would not see the impact we do.  We would appreciate your continued support and enabling us to see a great harvest of souls in 2012.

Brett here, Brad and I have been enjoying a great day in Bentonville Arkansas. We got to spend some time at a fitness festival held at the area high school. We did 2 exhibitions and the crowd was great. Afterwards we went inside and got to watch a few guys do some awesome gymnastics tricks for us. We are thankful for the oppertunity to be here and look forward to returning in the fall.

]]>It's been a while..http://realencounter.org/blog/2011/5/14/its-been-a-while.htmlReal Encounter2011-05-15T00:28:40Z2011-05-15T00:28:40ZSo it has been a while since we have had a chance to update our blog, but we are still here.  So far Real Encounter has had a great spring with some awesome events and even more to come.  

The guys just returned from a trip to Owensboro Kentucky where they partnered with First Baptist and Lync Ministries.

Even with a little rain and lightning the show went on and everyone had a great night.  We are so thankful and appreciative for everyone who helped to bring the team in and put on this great event.

In just a few short days the guys will head back out for a trip to Angola Louisiana.  This isn't the first time the team has had the opportunity to spend time at Angola State Prison.  We have been blessed to have had the opportunity to minister to everyone there a couple times before and it is always a great time. Not only performing for the inmates and staff but to also spend time with them and share the love and message of Christ with them.

We are looking forward to spending some time and fellowship with all of our great friends from Louisiana.

He calls the video "Catatonic" and this video gives a different perspective on flatland BMX that most of us would never see. Why? You ask, that is because this video is shot from Scott's perspective. That's right, Scott strapped a camera to his head (Don't worry it's small. The camera, not his head) and went out for a session. Watch if you dare but be warned. If you get dizzy easily you might not make it through the whole crazy video.

While the Real Encounter team is blessed to spend so much time traveling and sharing the Good News of Christ, some of them have a few other things they enjoy doing while at home. Team BMX rider Joe West is one of those we speak of. In 2009 while also planning and preparing to get married, Joe was also working on starting a new business. Joe and his friend Jason opened a combination bike shop and coffee shop in December of 2009. This is very fitting as those of you who we have had the opportunity to partner with will know. This is because Joe really enjoys riding his bikes and he really, really enjoys a good cup of coffee. They named the shop "The Hub - Bikes and Beans."
The Hub is a coffee shop but it's also a tool that Joe and Jason use to meet and share with the community. In the short time since they have been opened they have hosted multiple benefit events as well as partnering with their church to start a weekly bible study that meets in The Hub on Wednesday nights. The community has taken notice and the shop has been featured in more then a few news and local blog articles as well as appearing on the evening news.
So the next time you are in the Springfield area make sure to visit The Hub. While you're there enjoy the awesome foam art that Joe and Jason enjoy making in each cup they brew.
